More than just a bulk buy store - Nada Grocery Vancouver

Before I arrived in Vancouver all my friends were telling me to visit the newly opened Nada Grocery. I have visited multiple package free & bulk buy stores throughout Europe & the USA & to be honest they were all starting to look the same. I really wasn’t sure what to expect from Nada but I now can confirm that it is really not like all the others & is truly fantastic. The branding is perfect, the store is beautifully designed & merchandised & most importantly the atmosphere is great. The founder Brianne is incredibly passionate & told me all about her background in marine biology that spurred her on to create Nada. There is so much energy behind Nada & this is apparent as soon as you walk through the doors. Nada is passionate about community outreach & they run eco focused movie nights, morning yoga & are about to open a zero waste cafe. Nada has created a space that is inclusive, inspiring & so necessary in this current over packaged world we live in. One of my favourite quotes from Maya Angelou came to mind when I was at Nada; ‘I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass.’ Keep kickin’ ass ladies!
