The Renewal Workshop

I visited The Renewal Workshop in the heart of the Oregon mountains outside of Portland. The Renewal Workshop partner with the likes of The North Face and Prana by taking their damaged stock & reviving it. It might be a broken zip or it might be a tiny coffee stain.. or it might be nothing at all besides the fact that the company has too much of one product or they just couldn’t sell it. They sort, repair & clean each garment reverting it from landfill & creating Renewed Apparel.

Have a think about all those end of summer sales you are seeing & also clothing that you may have returned via post that will now require re sorting & repackaging (therefore more money for the company). Often these supposedly ‘unsellable’ items go straight to landfill or incineration. The Renewal Workshop has created a fantastic business in response to this major issue that so many consumers are unaware of.
